A ottobre prende il via la nuova edizione del Censimento permanente della popolazione e delle abitazioni, che dal 2018 è diventato annuale e non più decennale, e che coinvolge ogni anno solo un campione rappresentativo di famiglie. Nel 2021 le famiglie che partecipano al Censimento sono 2 milioni 472.400 in 4.531 Comuni sull’intero territorio nazionale. Il Censimento permette di conoscere le principali caratteristiche strutturali e socio-economiche della popolazione che dimora abitualmente in Italia, a livello nazionale, regionale e locale; di confrontarle con quelle del passato e degli altri Paesi. Grazie all’integrazione dei dati raccolti dal Censimento – attraverso due diverse rilevazioni campionarie denominate “da Lista” e “Areale” – con quelli provenienti dalle fonti amministrative, l’Istat è in grado restituire informazioni continue e tempestive, rappresentative dell’intera popolazione, ma anche di garantire un forte contenimento dei costi e una riduzione del fastidio a carico delle famiglie. Tutte le risposte ai quesiti del questionario devono fare riferimento alla data del 3 ottobre 2021. Si ricorda che partecipare al Censimento è un obbligo di legge e la violazione dell’obbligo di risposta prevede una sanzione.

Starting from October 2021 will take place the new edition of the now annual “Permanent Census of population and housing”, that involves only one representative sample of families every year. 2.472.400 are the families part of the 2021 census that involves 4.531 cities. This survey underlines the major structural and socio-economical features of the population that resides in Italy under the national, regional and local aspects; for a more specific research it could be compared with the past surveys and the ones from the other countries. Thanks to the addition of the Census data -collected by two different surveys-  with the administrative ones, Istat has been able to provide us with rapid and constant informations about the entire population and simultaneously it has been able to guarantee a great cost reduction and less commitment from the families. All the responses must be associated with the date of the 3 october 2021. We remind you that taking part on this Census is compulsory by law and the violation of this previous statement will carry a penalty.
